Ryan is the founder of SportsTech.AI which advises a portfolio of 10 sports tech starts up ranging from a stadium fan analytics platform (Lava) as used by the Sacramento Kings to smart cricket bats (Stancebeam), AR/VR soccer app (MyKicks), and a smart wearable (Solos Ltd). Ryan has 18 years in management consulting (KPMG and CapGemini Ernst Young) focused on the Telco, Media and Tech sector with a speciality of Customer experience, which he now applies to enhancing the Fan Experience.
Previously, Ryan was the founder and global lead for KPMG’s Sports Tech practice and evangelist for the use of big data to enhance league scheduling to maximise revenue while optimising player welfare. While in the KPMG role, Ryan also spearheaded the global expansion of a domestic Sports Analytics Conference responsible for the key strategic partnerships with KPMG offices (UK, India, Japan, and Netherlands) Loughborough University, Johan Cruyff Arena, NFLPA, Microsoft and La Liga. In addition to these global relationships Ryan sits on the advisory boards of Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft, Stadeum Sports, ARival and Edisn.ai.
